Conditions of Entry - Wolf Blass – Cricket at its Peak – Weekly Giveaways Promotion
  1. Instructions, prizes and information on how to enter form part of these conditions of entry. By entering, entrants accept these conditions of entry.
  2. Entry is open only to Australian residents aged 18 or over except directors, management and employees (and the immediate families of directors, management and employees) of the Promoter or of the agencies or companies associated with this competition.
  3. The promotion commences on 1 November 2006 and closes at 5.00pm Australian Eastern Daylight Time (AEDT) on 7 January 2007 (Promotional Period).
  4. To enter, entrants must log on to www.wolfblass.com.au and complete the on-line survey questions including providing their full name and email address and then when prompted describe in 25 words or less, their peak cricket experience. No responsibility is accepted for late, lost, incomplete, illegible or misdirected entries. When an entry is received by the Promoter, that entry is eligible to win the prize that is to be awarded for that week only (that is, that entry will not be eligible to win any prizes in any subsequent week of the promotion).
  5. Only one entry per person per week is permitted. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entrant for tampering with the entry process or for submitting an entry which is not in accordance with these conditions of entry.
  6. This is a game of skill and chance plays no part in determining the winner.
  7. Judging will take place at the offices of Foster’s Australia, 77 Southbank Boulevard, Southbank, VIC 3006 at 12.00pm (AEDT) each week during the Promotional Period on the dates outlined in clause 8 below. Entries will be judged by or on behalf of the Promoter based on, amongst other things, creativity and literary merit. The best valid entry received each week as determined by or on behalf of the Promoter will receive a weekly prize (10 prizes in total). The judges' decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  8. Weekly Prizes
    The best valid entry received during the periods specified in the table below each week for ten weeks, as judged by the Promoter will receive the prizes specified in the table below. All times specified in the table refer to AEDT.

    9. The total value of the prize pool is $16,833 (inc GST). All ancillary costs associated with redeeming the prize are the responsibility of the winner, including any costs incurred in travelling to and from any test match. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the prize value. Prizes or any unused portion of a prize are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash. 10. The prize winners will be notified by email. If a winner cannot take the prize as stipulated (including if the winner is not available to attend the event the subject of a prize), or if the winner does not claim the prize within 48 hours of being notified as a winner, the winner’s entry will be deemed invalid and the Promoter reserves the right to award the prize to the next best valid entry for the relevant week. 11. Where any prize is unavailable for any reason, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute for that prize a prize of equal or greater value, in its absolute discretion. 12. The prize winners must at the Promoter’s request, participate in any marketing and promotional activity in relation to winning the prize, free of charge, and consent to the Promoter using their name and image in such promotional material. 13. Each “25 words or less” statement must be the entrant’s original work. By entering this competition, entrants: (i) consent to the Promoter making copies of or publishing the whole or any part of their entry (including the “25 words or less” statement) and otherwise exploiting the entry and any rights in relation to the entry, to publicise this competition or for any other purposes; and (ii) undertake to the Promoter that their entry is not, and its use by the Promoter will not be, in breach of any third party intellectual property rights. 14. The Promoter reserves the right to request winners to provide proof of age and identity prior to awarding any prize. Identification considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of the Promoter. 15. If for any reason this promotion is not capable of running as planned for any reason including (but not limited to) technical failures, unauthorised intervention, fraud or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, or proper conduct of this promotion, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion or invalidate any affected entries. 16. The Promoter and its associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense, damage, personal injury or death which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person’s negligence) in connection with this competition or accepting or using any prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law). 17. In the event for any reason a winner does not take an element of the prize at the time stipulated by the Promoter then that element of the prize will be forfeited by the winner and cash will not be supplied in lieu of that element of the prize. 18. Without limiting paragraph 17, if the Ashes Test Day 3 (in relation to any one of the Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, Melbourne or Sydney cricket matches) is rained out, abandoned, called off, or postponed for any reason, the winner forfeits the double pass to attend the Ashes Test Day 3 and no cash or alternative tickets on any other day of the test match (or to any other event) will be substituted in lieu of the prize. The winner will still receive all other components of the prize. 19. The Promoter encourages consumers to enjoy responsibly. Legal aged consumers are advised to consider the safe drinking levels recommended in the National Health & Medical Research Council Australian Alcohol Guidelines that are: Males: Up to 6 standard drinks on any one day, no more than three days a week & Females: Up to 4 standard drinks on any one day, no more than three days a week. Any personal information collected will be used by the Promoter for the purpose of conducting this promotion.
